About this Bake
As sleep-deprived new parents we discovered Pavarotti's power when 'Nessun Dorma' (ironically meaning 'none shall sleep') came on the radio and our crying baby was instantly soothed to sleep. We thought it only right to pay tribute to him in cake form for our son's first birthday.
Top tip
Pavarotti's middle is a classic Victoria sponge and his arms are made of kitchen roll tubes covered in fondant.
