About this Bake
This is a straight forward basic vanilla sponge recipe, with the addition of lemon zest and a few drops of fresh lemon to the mixture. The same with the butter cream, add lemon flavouring and grate a little lemon zest to finish off.
Top tip
Crumbled Meringue topping to add texture to the cake!
