About this Bake
Many years ago I made a hedgehog cake for my daughter who was then around four-years-old. I used matchmakers for the spines. She turned 32 this year and had another go at the hedgehog cake. This time I used chocolate buttons because I didn't want her to poke her eye out while blowing out the candle.
Top tip
I used a well known brand of chocolate and hazelnut spread to cover the body of the cake, which was baked in a dome shaped tin. Chocolate buttons for the spines and a pink coated chocolate for the nose.
