About this Bake
This is a traditional Polish Easter egg bread, very similar to challah bread. I like to practise my bakes before I present them to family so this was a recipe I developed after studying dozens of recipes for this bread and reading about the desired product.
Top tip
Have fun! Some recipes have it finished with sesame or poppy seeds sprinkled over the braids before baking. Some have dried fruits kneaded into the dough. Some versions are very sweet. I do not like these additions and prefer a simpler version.
