About this Bake
I attempted the classic hedgehog cake for my son's 15th birthday. My mother-in-law is very talented and usually makes the family cakes. This year I thought, "How hard can it be? I'll show her how good a daughter-in-law I am and make the cake myself". Turns out it's harder than I thought.
Top tip
Hedgehogs are harder than you think - I became prickly towards the end of this bake. The baby hedgehog was an attempt to stop my husband hoovering up the offcuts!
