About this Bake
This was my first time baking a cake from scratch, never mind a rainbow cake! I kept the flavours simple by baking a vanilla cake in different colours, before using buttercream to stack and cover it.
Top tip
Some of the colour in the layers was lost during the baking process, so adding a little extra food colouring may help to make those colours pop!
