About this Bake
I had forgotten to bake my husband a birthday cake last week! So I quickly whizzed up a chocolate cake, filled with clotted cream, used chocolate fingers around the edge and covered in fresh redcurrants, strawberries and raspberries.
Top tip
When you have taken your cooked sponge out of the oven, if it has domed in the centre, using a clean tea towel gently press onto the domed area until its has flattened. Saves carving and levelling!
