About this Bake
I made this cake for my husband's 40th birthday. It took me nearly three days and weighed nearly two stone. The chessmen alone weighed 2kg and were hand carved out of chocolate. The chessboard underneath was a coffee and black walnut cake.
Top tip
Believe in yourself. I'm not a trained baker. I've had no lessons and I'm self-taught, which goes to show, if you love doing something, then nothing's impossible.
