About this Bake
I was going to do this in fondant but decided to go more "free-style" with buttercream. I covered the first two layers in a rough coat, then piped the dark lines which gave the definition, deliberately keeping the piping lines which seemed to suit the cake.
Top tip
Don't be afraid to try 3D cakes - this one was made with two cakes, the bottom one formed the base and lower jaw, I carved the other to create the face shaping.
