About this Bake
Our 3-year-old is obsessed by the TV show 'Numberblocks', so I baked him a birthday cake of the character 'Three'. It was a vanilla sponge with buttercream icing, fondant and marzipan decorations. He's refused to eat any of it (the only time he has ever turned down cake)!
Top tip
Use food colouring gels (not liquid) for more vibrant colours and ensure your child likes TV programmes involving geometric shapes to make birthday cakes easier!
