About this Bake
This is my first attempt at a swiss roll & the first stage of the Charlotte Royale. Unfortunately the arrival of the in-laws for lunch stopped me progressing to the next stage of the dessert as my bake was all devoured with a cup of tea!
Top tip
When rolling up the Swiss Roll make sure you have a receptacle to catch all the home-made jam in that oozes out. Note:the jam is quite sweet so a little less sugar & a squeeze of lemon could be an alternative option for the Charlotte Royale recipe.
