About this Bake
Rich buttery vanilla sponge with strawberry and vanilla filling, this cake was 10 inches x 6 inches x 5 inches tall. 3 deep layers of delicious cake!
Top tip
Allow sponge cakes to cool, fill with chosen filling and wrap the whole cake in cling wrap, 'press' the cake overnight with a board on top and a small weight (i.e two plates) then the following day remove wrap and trim cake before decorating.
