About this Bake

I decided to branch out a little and try my first yeasted cake, the traditional Bienenstich Kuchen, German for Bee Sting Cake! My husband and I enjoyed it the unique flavor of the honey, yeast and almonds together!

Top tip

Make sure your cake dough is firm enough to support the honeyed almonds for the crust, or they will sink during the bake like they did in mine!
