About this Bake
My sister asked me to bake my nephews first birthday cake with a 'in the night garden' theme. The cake part is simply vanilla sponge with a light butter cream and raspberry jam filling. This was only my second attempt at icing a cake.
Top tip
I found it really difficult to cut out the letters as they kept getting stuck. My top tip is dipping the cutter in a litter flavourless oil, dab off the excess oil on kitchen towel and then cut out. The letters release much easier.
