About this Bake
I baked this cake with my sister (Lily) for our mum's birthday as she loves seeing all the hedgehog cakes. We used a chiffon sponge and an Italian meringue buttercream. We decided we needed to make it purposely ugly to make sure it was as funny as possible.
Top tip
Chill your crumb coat for at least 30 minutes to ensure a smooth coating for the final finish. Make a cake pop mix to mould little details like the paws and ears.
