About this Bake
A six-layer cake, alternating chocolate and vanilla sponge, filled with chocolate buttercream and covered in vanilla buttercream, with a dark chocolate drip. The cake was topped with chocolate shards and row of colourful macarons with delicately placed gold leaf.
Top tip
When making chocolate shards, ensure to score your triangles just before the chocolate sets, before replacing them in the fridge to set fully.
