About this Bake
This is based on an Indian dessert called ras malai, which is sweet curd dumplings soaked in spice-infused milk. This is a cardamom-scented sponge cake soaked with saffron and cardamom-flavoured milk. It is then topped with a homemade buttercream frosting.
Top tip
Cardamom milk is the star so make sure to drizzle enough on the cake and put enough in the buttercream for maximum flavour.
