What first inspired you to bake?
Learning at school and making things that I had never eaten before.
What has been your biggest baking triumph ever?
Apple strudel with perfect handmade filo pastry. I made it when I was about 15.
How does the presence of Paul Hollywood and Mary Berry affect your nerves in the kitchen?
They didn’t make me feel nervous during baking but the anticipation of the judging rounds was nerve wracking.
Which past Bake Off contestants have impressed you the most and why?
I enjoyed watching Dame Edna and the other comedians in the Comic Relief series.
What is your biggest fear in the kitchen?
Setting the kitchen on fire! Flambé scares me!
