Your submission is not part of a competition and there will be no prizes offered for the chosen submission – just a chance to see your ideas on the show come to life! We only need a brief headline and short description, so no need for recipes or detailed instructions.
We can’t wait to hear your ideas!
Fill out your submission form sooner rather than later, and by no later than 1pm on Sunday 18th January 2026 (the “Deadline”). Please note that if selected, Love Productions will have absolute ownership of the challenge as it appears in the Programme, but you will retain ownership of the underlying idea behind the challenge itself.
We cannot accept submissions if you have applied for Series 17, or have participated in any previous series.

A signature challenge is often a recognisable bake, something our contestants can easily put their own spin on and incorporate their favourite ‘go to’ flavours and recipes into. This doesn’t have to be a straightforward classic, but ideally it would include a key component that is. For example, a Swiss roll challenge that has a decorative inlay design.
A great technical challenge is all about testing the bakers’ knowledge and baking intuition. Popular well-known bakes work brilliantly, but so too do challenges the bakers may not have heard of, as long as the baking techniques being tested are clear.
The showstopper is the chance for the bakers to really show off their creativity and artistic flair. The best showstopper challenges have a clear theme, and the same end goal - but leave room for the bakers to get creative and be as ambitious as they like in the time available. They should always be achievable and invite a range of different approaches, as well as offering the chance to get to know our bakers further.
