About this Bake
I baked this for my son's first birthday cake. His name is Forrest so I thought it appropriate. This picture is the second time I have baked this recipe, the first time I made it one of my sponges cracked whilst assembling as wasn't cool enough. Lesson learnt!
Top tip
I used greek yoghurt and bicarbonate soda to keep the sponge light and well risen. Be patient with your chocolate and make sure you let your sponge cool fully before attempting to assemble!
