About this Bake
A 6 layer rainbow cake baked for my son's first birthday party. The caterpillar on top was made by marbling three shades of green fondant. A thin layer of buttercream separated the six layers of vanilla sponge in the colours of the rainbow.
Top tip
Whip the buttercream icing for at least 5 minutes on fast speed to get it light and creamy.
