About this Bake
This was a birthday cake for a friend who loves apple pies. The big green apple is made from layers of chocolate and coffee cake, carved then iced with buttercream and fondant. The friend I made it for is vegan, so the whole thing is completely dairy and egg free, even the buttercream.
Top tip
Make sure the lids are big enough when you're making the pies!
