About this Bake
This is the traditional lemon Maderia with lemon glaze and candied peel. I did not get the dome or the crack, so no star baker for me, but it was quite scrummy anyway! (And my candied peel probably wouldn't pass Mary's drop test.) :)
Top tip
Injecting the glaze or poking holes so it can seep into the sponge is key to a lip-smackingly moist and delicious cake!
