About this Bake
This is a lemon Savoy cake with St Clement's macaroons. I made it for my mum and dad's 17th wedding anniversary and, although it took me seven hours to make, it was delicious and really worth it!
Top tip
When you add the meringue to the cake mix be extremely gentle and fold it in as otherwise you will knock all the air out leaving a really dense and hard cake.
