About this Bake
This cake was made as a foraging-themed birthday cake for my boyfriend. It was a chocolate sponge coated and topped with chocolate ganache, with green cake crumbs and pistachio "moss", and hand-painted meringue mushrooms.
Top tip
Invest in an electric whisk - hand-whipping meringue just isn't worth the effort!
