About this Bake
This cake was made for a fund raising afternoon tea party in memory of a lovely friend of 30+ years. It is a 10" Victoria Sponge covered in fondant and made to look like a wine barrel. The wine pouring from the bottle is again modeling fondant coloured to look like Merlot, Janet's favorite wine.
Top tip
Make sure the support for the bottle is attached very securely to the cake drum.
