About this Bake
My bake is a vegan (and gluten-free) vanilla sponge cake. The Dalmatian, inspired by 101 Dalmatians, was initially just meant to be a Victoria sponge, but I got creative!
Top tip
As the cake is vegan, the recipe states to use bicarbonate of soda. To avoid the ‘fuzzy’ feeling when eating it, replace the bicarb with xanthan gum.
