About this Bake
This cake was made from four layers of chocolate sponge, covered in a chocolate and hazelnut buttercream, a chocolate ganache drip, finished off with chopped hazelnuts and chocolate and hazelnut confectionery.
Top tip
Bake the cake layers a few days before needed, cool completely and wrap tightly in cling film and foil. Place the layers in the freezer. Move them to the fridge the night before you plan to decorate the cake. This creates moist cakes and allows you to focus on decorating!
