Feeling slightly autumnal. Treacle tart is one of those cosy desserts. Sweet shortcrust pastry with warming hints of ginger and lemon, a perfect treat for a dark evening. Serve warm with a generous dollop of vanilla ice cream. Scrummy!
Top tip
I always rest my pastry in the fridge for half hour before using, roll it out and line my tin. Place it back in the fridge for another half hour before blind baking. This way ensures no soggy bottom!
