About this Bake
I baked this for our grandson Zac’s second birthday as he had a Halloween party for friends and family. It got a tiny bit damp in the pouring rain and the cake rod holding Zac on top of the pumpkin started to poke through his eye! I think we just about got away with it.
Top tip
Cover sponge cake with several thin layers of butter cream before sticking on the fondant icing. It sticks better and makes the cake moist.
