About this Bake
This cake was made by myself and my daughter, Ella. It was for my son, Bertie, on his first birthday. He is allergic to dairy so it was important that he could eat it too. Seven year old Ella made half of the fondant figures by herself.
Top tip
When using dairy-free spread instead of butter to make the butter cream, add more icing sugar than you normally would and chill overnight before using. Otherwise it will be too soft.
