About this Bake
I made this cake for my friend's birthday in the summer. We are both Downton Abbey fans, and so I attempted to create it in cake-form!
Top tip
Whisk your eggs separately until frothy before adding to a Victoria sponge - it will give it an extra lightness and make it rise even more.
