About this Bake

This was my husband's bake for our son's (born on Halloween) first birthday cake. He was a lockdown baby so this was one the first times he could celebrate with all his family and friends since arriving in the world.

Top tip

After putting the buttercream on, chill the cake in the fridge, then use a warm spoon to smooth it out.
