About this Bake
This cake is for my daughter who turns 13 on Christmas Day (although we always celebrate her birthday earlier). It is a lemon and elderflower sponge, filled with passion fruit curd. It was very hard as I have pneumonia, but Vishaka has been a star looking after me so it's a special cake!
Top tip
Don't bake cake in a bowl to make a dome. Go and buy a cake tin! Use spray gold shimmer spray for burnished look and finish with edible flowers.
