About this Bake
Inspired by the festive buns challenge for Festival Week, these are Swedish Lussekatter buns (also known as St Lucia buns or saffron buns). They are traditionally served in Sweden around Christmas time.
Top tip
These buns get their colour and flavour from saffron. Letting the saffron soak for a short while in milk before using releases this more easily for baking.
