About this Bake

I made these for my flatwarming party. Alongside vegan truffles, tea cocktails and cookies (all homemade), these scones received the most praise! I think they enjoyed something slightly different from the usual plain or sultana scones on offer in cafés.

Top tip

If you can't find buttermilk, yoghurt worked wonders on these. Also, I used fresh blueberries (as opposed to frozen) because I enjoy when they burst in the oven; it makes the scone extra juicy, but still solid enough that a bit of jam won't be too overpowering.
