About this Bake
The baking time is 70 minutes at a low temperature (of 150°C) without the fan. Quick baking at a higher temperature will make the cake pudding-like (with no anthill texture).
Top tip
The ingredients are very simple, but the cake is very fussy. Whisk the egg wrong and you will never get the anthill-like texture inside the cake. The batter is very runny and that makes it tricky.
