About this Bake
I was pleased at my first attempt at a Madeira cake. Unlike Marie I only used lemon zest in the bake and put the candied orange in the oven to dry. My cake had the called for crack and candied peel that made a noise on hitting the plate!
Top tip
Use a metal spoon to fold in the flour.
