Groot is a character from Guardians of the Galaxy. These cakes were following a YouTube video by another baker. I used chocolate chip cupcakes as the base with gingerbread to make the groots.
Top tip
Each Groot cookie takes a while to cut out so just take your time. It works best if you cool the gingerbread mix in the fridge before cooking to make sure it holds its shape.
