About this Bake
This is my step niece's 6th birthday cake. The castle is marbled plain and pink inside. In total I used 7 of Mary's Victoria sponge recipes and 3 boxes of icing sugar. I also handpainted the box to set the scene.
Top tip
Don't be afraid to dismember a doll for this kind of cake, the birthday girl was thrilled with the legless princess inside (perhaps even more than she liked the cake).
