The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand up to Cancer celebrity bakers announced!

Get ready to help Prue, Paul, Sandi and Noel raise some dough – Bake Off is back for a celeb-studded charity special on Channel 4!

The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand up to Cancer will see the tent welcoming some familiar faces for five episodes of fundraising fun. Each week, four new celebrity bakers will battle it out in a bid to be crowned the week’s Star Baker, all in the name of fundraising for a good cause.

Stand Up To Cancer is a charity created by Cancer Research UK and Channel 4 that works to raise funds for life-saving cancer research. It’s backed by a host of celebrities and entertainment brands, all intent on showing cancer who’s boss.

We’ve assembled a batch of talented celebs to each take on a Signature, Technical and Showstopper challenge in order to raise some cash for Stand Up To Cancer. Take a deep breath… here’s the full list of celebrity bakers:

Musical comedian Tim Minchin, actress Teri Hatcher, TV presenter Stacey Solomon, leader of the Scottish Conservative Party Ruth Davidson, comedian, comedian, writer and actress Roisin Conaty, singer and songwriter Ricky Wilson of Kaiser Chiefs, Diversity’s Perri Kiely, TV presenter Nick Hewer, broadcaster Melanie Sykes, actor Martin Kemp, comedian Lee Mack, Paralympic gold medallist Kadeena Cox, comedian Joe Lycett, Made in Chelsea’s Jamie Laing, comedian Harry Hill, comedian, actor and presenter Griff Rhys Jones, singer Ella Eyre, journalist and presenter Bill Turnbull, comedian Alan Carr and comedian and actor Aisling Bea.

The celebs will no doubt be feeling a little nervous at the prospect of presenting their bakes at the gingham altar for Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood to judge, but hopefully they’ll take comfort in the fact that Bake Off hosts Noel and Sandi will be on-hand to offer tea and sympathy for any soggy bottoms.

The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand up to Cancer airs Tuesdays, 8pm on Channel 4.
