Steph: 1920s Week’s Star Baker

For 1920s Week we went back to the past

But despite being young, Steph caught up fast

She said shortcrust was her biggest fear

But her custard pies were of the highest tier

With beautiful flavours and full of zest

They were tarte au citron at their very best

A tricky technical she handled with grace

And ended up in a worthy fourth place

Then came a showstopper of pina colada

Steph used tinned pineapple to make her flavours work harder

Her trick paid off – Paul deemed it very clever

A compliment Steph should remember forever

She’s been Star Baker twice in a row

Who will be next? Tune in and you’ll know.

Congratulations to Steph, the 1920s Week Star Baker! Find out who will be crowned next on The Great British Bake Off, Tuesday 1st October at 8pm on Channel 4.
